A Brief History of the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church

A small group of believers began meeting for Bible study and prayer in the summer of 1977. Gathering in a second floor office in East Orleans, they began praying and laying plans to begin a congregation. One member of the group, a daughter of Alliance missionaries, suggested they explore affiliating with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. District Superintendent Rev. John Stirzaker met with them, and the group came under the sponsorship of the District. When the first public meetings were held in November of 1977, Rev. Earle Stewart, retired missionary along with his wife Peggy, to West Africa, preached on Sundays at the rented Universal Lodge in East Orleans.

The congregation purchased 1.44 acres of land on Rt. 6A in Brewster for $17,500 in July 1982. They dedicated their first building in December of 1987.

Mark Adams came as Assistant Pastor in the summer of 1994.

The congregation purchased an additional 6/10 of an acre of land for additional parking in 1995 and dedicated additional sanctuary and building space in January of 1997.

Derek Mansker joined our church family in December, 2006, as our Youth Pastor. Derek was ordained in September, 2008.
